About Jack

I work with organizations that have business systems, data, measurement, or digital processes that are not working as clearly or reliably as they should.

My role is often to work across the business and technical sides of the problem: understand what people are trying to accomplish, determine where the process or system is breaking down, and help put a practical solution in place.

Professional focus

Most of my work sits at the intersection of business processes, data, and the systems teams depend on to make decisions.

Make the information more trustworthy

That can mean resolving inconsistent CRM data, figuring out why reports disagree, improving measurement, or tracing a problem back to the system or process that created it.

Understand what is actually breaking

Problems that look like reporting, CRM, analytics, accessibility, or website issues often cross several systems and teams. I try to understand those relationships before changing anything.

Make the improvement usable

The goal is not simply to identify a problem. Where appropriate, I help implement the fix, document what changed, and leave the system easier for the people using it to understand and maintain.

How I work

I try to keep the work clear, practical, and proportionate to the problem. The objective is to solve what needs solving without creating unnecessary complexity or dependence.

Clear scope before the work begins

You should understand what is being reviewed, what is included, what is not included, what will be delivered, and when a change in scope needs a discussion.

Assessments stand on their own

An assessment should still be useful if you do not hire me to perform the remediation.

You can use the findings internally, work with another provider, or ask me to help implement them.

Understand the process before changing the system

Existing workarounds may contain important business rules, exceptions, classifications, reconciliation logic, or institutional knowledge.

I want to understand why people are working around a system before removing, replacing, or automating the workaround.

Your team keeps the knowledge

Documentation, findings, recommendations, and implementation knowledge should remain with your team.

The objective is to make the work easier to understand, not create a system that only an outside consultant can maintain.

No project for the sake of a project

If something does not need to be rebuilt, replaced, or expanded, I will say so.

If a smaller fix solves the problem, I would rather recommend the smaller fix.

Background

My professional background spans business systems and the data, reporting, and digital platforms around them.

I have worked across CRM and Salesforce, analytics and measurement, data pipelines and reporting, marketing technology, websites and digital platforms, accessibility and privacy-related work, and cross-functional system ownership.

That range matters because business problems rarely stay inside one tool. A reporting problem may begin with the underlying data. A CRM problem may actually be a process problem. A measurement issue may involve the website, tagging, consent behavior, reporting definitions, or several of those at the same time.

Unified Stack

I operate my consulting work through Unified Stack.

Jack Tyler is the primary public-facing brand because clients work directly with me. Unified Stack is the business behind the consulting work and provides the structure for current and future services, products, and related projects.
